| Education is the power and backbone of India. Public libraries play a vital role in overall socio-economic development of a democratic country. This paper discusses about the emergence of public libraries and their growth and development in Manipur. It also points out the present situation of public libraries in the state and suggests the necessary for immediate implementation of Manipur Public libraries Act, 1988 to provide perfect Right to Education in all citizens of the state. |
