Every academic library should have the adequate print as well as digital collections to meet the thrust of the users. This study is based on use of library resources by the Students at Assam University, Silchar. The study has been conducted through questionnaire-based survey. The primary data was collected through questionnaire which was circulated randomly among 140 respondents. On the basis of filled up questionnaires the data has been analyzed and inferences were drawn based on standard statistical techniques. The study reveals that guidance in the use of library resources and services is necessary to help students to meet their requirements. It has been found that journals, text-books, and lecture notes are the most popular sources of information for the students course work. This paper also throws light on the problems and difficulties being faced by the students while seeking information. The author also provides some suggestions for better utilization of library resources available in Assam University Library. | | Keywords : | | - library user
