It is about common formats for integration and combination of data drawn from diverse sources, where as the original web mainly concentrated on the interchange of documents. The semantic web is a mesh of information linked up in such a way as to be easily processable by machines, on a global scale. This is an efficient way of representing data on the world wide web, or as a globally linked database. This paper also discusses about related works on semantic web, semantic web layers, languages on the web, application of semantic web in library services, opportunities and challenges and concludes that the support of learning objectives based on a dynamic invocation of semantic web service process model follows an innovative approach and is distinctive to the current state of the art in this area.
