There are around 75 institutes in Maharashtra recognised by RCI that run training courses in the field of Special Education. Most of these institutes are run by Non-Government Organisations (NGOs). The libraries attached to these training institutes face various challenges with regard to funding, infrastructure facilities and manpower requirements. The libraries have their own limitations within which they are striving hard to serve and fulfill the information needs of their users. Users, at the other hand, have their own needs and expectations from their libraries. They feel that the libraries should deliver the expected services. Thus, this study was undertaken in order to assess the needs and expectations of the library users. The paper also proposes some suggestions based on the findings of the study. | Keywords : | | - special education libraries
