Sound broadcasting started in India in 1927 with the proliferation of private radio clubs. Due to the impact of information technology, tremendous changes reported in All India Radio for effective preservation and distribution of information to the society and in this direction, authors attempt to highlight the developments in Sound recording in All India Radio library systems using NETIA’S RADIO-ASSIST automation system is discussed and further suggestions and challenges for effective preservation and access to knowledge system for broadcasting is highlighted. | Keywords : | | - smart technologies
