Job satisfaction has been identified as an important topic in organizational research due to its many effects on the overall well-being of the organization. Personality is one of the antecedents of job satisfaction. This study aims to explore the level of personality, job satisfaction and routineness or working condition among library employees and the relationship between these three factors. A survey has been conducted in the libraries of the University of Calcutta. The sample consisted of 100 library employees of University of Calcutta. A Questionnaire with three instruments was administered among the library employees to measure their job satisfaction, and five factor model of personality and routineness or working condition.
